DISTRICT 8888

White Paper

$BRASS, the weights, the mints, and the royalty. Each rule is written once.

$BRASS

$BRASS is the only token of Real Hood People. The supply is fixed at 8,888,888,888. It is minted once, to the Dev Wallet, then moved. The mint stays closed. There is no transfer tax.

80% goes to the staking contract and pays only when someone works. 15% seeds the $BRASS/ETH LP, and those LP tokens are locked. 5% stays in the Dev Wallet.

$BRASS burns only when it is spent. A trade does not burn it. Medicine, shelter, and a name are never priced in $BRASS.

How Weight Works

A wallet needs an address before it can send Real Hood People out. The address sets the weight. A portrait, a pet, a ride, furniture, and a return add to that weight. They do not multiply it.

Coming back every 8 hours adds 2. 88 hours adds 1.5. 8 days adds 1.

8 District 8888 legendaries and 9 District 9999 legendaries use +0.50 instead of OpenSea rank. A Real Hood People’s rank adds to that person only. A District 9999 rank adds on top of 1.5 for the room that portrait is hung in.

A saved District 9999 portrait adds 1.5 to the room it is hung in. It can be held or sold after it comes off the wall. The next holder gets the weight only after they hang it.

A RoostHood pet adds 0.25. One per room. Contract 0x8ffA3848cD358746810A6fb9D20aD668fB67f7d9.

A room can hold 8 furniture pieces. Each costs 8,888 $BRASS, which is burned, and adds 0.05. Coming Soon.

The Mints

Real Hood People portraits are free. 8,888 total. Four per wallet. 444 are minted first, at random, to the royalty wallet. The other 8,444 are the public mint. Coming Soon. A transaction still needs a little ETH for gas.

Addresses are 2 USDG each. Coming Soon. The Fourth Bell portraits are 1 USDG each. Coming Soon. There are 9,999 of them.

60% of that USDG is added to the $BRASS/ETH LP. 20% buys $BRASS and burns it. 20% goes to the Dev Wallet for production.

What $BRASS Buys

Transpo is 8,888 rides, 20 kinds, 2 per address. Every mint is 88,888 $BRASS. The ride is random, and that spend is burned. It adds to the Real Hood People in that room. Coming Soon.

Pull A Name

Pull A Name is an 8 day draw. A new raffle starts every 8 days. It raffles Real Hood People and collab NFT collections. A ticket is 8,888 $BRASS, and that spend is burned. Not published yet.

The Royalty

Every collection takes a forced 10% on secondary sales. The receiver is locked and cannot be changed.

50% of that royalty, 5% of the sale, goes to the Dev Wallet for development and collabs.

The other 50%, 5% of the sale, funds the $BRASS/ETH LP, floor sweeps, and sweep contests. Nothing is added to the staking contract after the 80% is placed there at mint.

The Sweep

Floor shares from District 8888, The Fourth Bell, Addresses, and Transpo sit in one bucket. Coming Soon. That bucket can buy from any of the four.

Sweeps are not on a schedule. The team chooses the moment, and the collection, when a buy is most likely to lift the floor. A swept piece stays in the bucket. It is not listed back under the floor.
